About

Hello, I’m A J Freer or Ange. I’ve always loved reading stories and as a child was mostly found with my head in a book.

 

I’ve been learning the craft of storytelling for quite some while now, and am a graduate of the highly-regarded Golden Egg Academy, for children’s authors. 

​

However, my route to novel writing has been far from conventional involving a university degree in Management Science and French, followed by a Masters in Computing. Working in the City of London was my next stop…and the last, before working out what I really wanted to do – write books for children. All thanks to the amazing JK Rowling.

​

I’m always writing or editing a book and I've now written six novels and co-written a screenplay too. There are two books in the Little Spirit Mystery Adventure series with 6 more to come. 

         

I live in the UK, in the historic Hertfordshire town where this story is set, with my two lovely children and my husband. I can now mostly be found with my head in a laptop, feverishly writing my next book.
